The CCC management committee met in mid-October to discuss the conditions and safety procedures under which we will be able to re-open. We know how important circus is to our community. We know it feels like home. We know how much you miss it - and each other. Even though we can't reopen straight away, we care deeply and are waiting until the circumstances are safe enough to bring back the circus.
Here's what has been going on. A CCC member, Rob Eager has proposed a thoroughly researched plan detailing safety procedures that will keep risks at extremely low levels. The document was reviewed by the committee, and tentatively accepted conditional on a low number of daily new cases in Cambridgeshire. That means now is not the right time to execute the plan, but it puts us in a really good starting position when the time is right. We will continue to monitor the situation, and will post the next update in February, or sooner if the most recent measures prove to be effective.
In the meantime, our Zoom classes are back on! Kelly McDowall and the team of volunteers have been running weekly Zoom classes, putting the "win" back in "winter" (I'm sorry). head to our Facebook page to check them out!
Stay safe, reach out to us and to each other if you need anything or just want a chat. We are all in this, and we will get through it.
